What is our vision...
To be a community, which shares Christ, makes disciples and reflects God's glory.
Who are we...
We are a Christian fellowship with a strong family feel and a focus on the local community which we have been part of for over 100 years. We are very welcoming and inclusive, and have a strong focus on ensuring everyone belongs, whatever their background or relation to faith.
The church is set up as a charity with about 90 members, and a wider church family closer to 250 people. While we are strongly united to the wider Christian Church regardless of denomination, our persuasion and tradition is Baptist.
What do we do together...
The regular service for our Nepali fellowship is 4pm Saturday afternoon, and we also all meet as a whole community of smaller interest groups at other various times where all are made welcome whether regulars of visitors.
Our regular combined service is Sunday mornings at 10:30 in the main church building where we share in a time of worship, teaching and socialising. There are also a number of afternoon or evening services and activities where each Sunday PM will be different and you should check the calendar for details to see what is occurring when.
We also have facilities for children of all ages, disabled/wheelchair access and facilities and a hearing aid loop system to make sure that all are free to come and join in. Focused activities include children and youth groups from toddlers to young adults, special needs children and adults, Nepali for the strong expatriate community which is part of Anderson, adult discipleship groups and more.
Where are we...
We have buildings in Amherst Road, Reading which provides a venue for many of our groups, and some events may take place in peoples homes around the local community.
Please see the calendar for more details
